The Buddha Dordenma is one of Bhutan’s most iconic landmarks, overlooking the Thimphu Valley from Kuenselphodrang Nature Park. Standing over 50 meters tall, this magnificent gilded bronze statue represents peace, happiness, and enlightenment. Completed in 2015, it was built to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Bhutan’s Fourth King and to fulfill ancient prophecies promoting harmony and prosperity.
